We went here at the request of a friend for his birthday-Not someplace we would normally go...BUT

We were seated immediately, the place was pretty empty, and then Adam came over introduced himself and asked for drink orders.

We ended up getting the buffalo cauliflower appetizer and it was much tastier than I expected. We followed it up by ordering bbq chicken, Thai chicken, Carne asada and what Adam called the salad pizza.

Everything came out quickly and tasted fresh.

The real star of the show was our server...he was charismatic, attentive and super helpful with ordering choices and throughout the meal!

Adam is worth 5 stars  The food was 3.5

Y'all.. we have been sleeping on CPK!

As a child and teen I loved going to CPK when making trips to the mall...I would religiously order the hawaiian bbq chicken pizza. One day I grew up I guess and I realized it actually tasted only mediocre (or maybe I just slowly was exposed to better food). Anyhow after a good 5 year hiatus from CPK I found myself there this weekend (mostly out of last stitch starvation/drama/needed food for my pregnant sister or bad things were about to happen) while on a day trip to University Town Center.

The menu still had some of those classic stand-bys I remembered so well like lettuce wraps and the previously mentioned pizza, but for the most part it looked entirely new. I was dazzled with the options and ultimately decided to try one of their power bowls (all of them looked terrific),The Banh Mi Bowl. We also ordered a shrimp Alfredo pizza which was recommended to get with the cauliflower crust-which is exactly what we did.

The bowl portion was pretty generous however for the price point I would expect much more protein..it seemed a little unfair. It did taste quite nice the spice level was perfect. Now for the pizza with that fake crust...let me tell you...I legitimately grilled my server for a good 5 minutes before I believed him that I was eating cauliflower crust. It was SO GOOD. The texture was mind blowing-I felt like I was eating a cheesy thin crust pizza. I am still reeling, I don't understand how it is physically possible for cauliflower to resemble bread this way. Good on you, CPK, good on you.

I am not running to go back-but I will definitely consider it, especially after a good shopping trip.

Two words that should never go together California and Pizza, leave pizza to NYers. 3 stars for a cool eclectic environment, good for lunch meetings and drinks at the bar. Service was friendly and efficient.

This was my first visit to CPK in two years. This location is fairly new and the decor looks great. The menu is massive with great options. The prices are reasonable with the pick two lunch options starting at $10. There is something for everyone on this menu. Whether you like pizza, pasta, or steaks there is an option for you on this menu.

I enjoyed the pick 2 option. I had a salad and a bowl of spaghetti bolognese. I especially enjoyed the spaghetti because it included mushrooms. The salad was tasty as well. I also enjoyed the white corn guacamole appetizer. The appetizer had very fresh ingredients and was served with tortilla chips. My lunch partner ordered the ribeye steak. This steak was season so well, it didn't require steak sauce.

The service was excellent. The server provided recommendations regarding food selections. She was very accommodating as I asked for simple syrup and she made it since the bar didn't have it. There is a full bar at this location with happy hour options. This was an overall great experience.

Why I will Never Return To The UTC Store.
Several months ago my wife and I were driving back home from Moffitt Cancer Center. She had gotten another round of Chemotherapy and was feeling sick with a splitting headache. At 11:45 we stopped to get her a healthy meal of Wild Caught Halibut. We asked for a front "Quiet" table that was away from the other diners. The bearded host gave us an annoyed look and seated us next to the window, away from the diners already seated in the center of the store. The next family that had three young children he placed at the table next to us. So we moved to the back of the store and explained to our waitress why. She said not a problem. A few new couples were seated around the store. But when the next family with four kids came in the bearded host sat them next to our booth. We got up and left. We eat at the Coconut Point CPK store about 1-2 times a week and have never been treated with such an apathetic attitude. That's why, even though UTC is closer, we will never eat there again.
